FinalistBio
Hi, my name is Erin Haase. I'm nothing more than a passionate student who would do just about anything to put a little bit of good in this world. I want to become someone who can spread information, and education over ignorance; having already worked towards this goal through clubs, 4-H, friends, plus other open opportunities. Moreover this creative thinking is looking forward to doing, and learning more in the future. Because in the end, "Truth will always be truth, regardless of the lack understanding, disbelieve or ignorance." -W. Clement Stone. Though such is the illusory truth that we as people may believe in lies, and I, as a person of this planet wish to change that.

Everyone has those moments when you are happy and laughing. For a while, time just stops. These moments in your life when you get to reflect and look for meaning over the things you have achieved. The things you have been aspiring towards for the hope of making a difference. Those moments, for me, have been with my family and our extended household which can be either the finned, furry, or scaly members of the world. Along with my club families of 4-H, and P.A.W. respectively.
Growing up in my household environment has given me a knack for dealing with people, animals, and a great respect for nature. When I was younger I would convince my family to walk down to the local ponds and clean up the trash and debris littered there. When I got into 4H I loved helping out my fellow members with taking care of the animals, or our annual adopt a highway exspites. These experiences have helped me to grow in my love for animals and the outdoors. It works well alongside my joy of teaching others, and even allowed to to have an opportunity to helped out as a summer school aid, and English tutor within our areas school district.
Alongside those experiences, I have been given a love for working with others as part of my youth services class, forensics, theater, 4H, public speaking, and my school's Poets and Writers club which I have run for the past two years. Getting to spend time with animals and people together; learning from each other is a blessing, a blessing that I'd like to continue for the rest of my life. Because really how can happiness be perfect if it's not shared?
My passion for learning and helping those around me has pushed me down my future path. Allowing me to work, and learn alongside people and animals, becoming the driving force behind my future educational career choices. I'm looking to go into a career where I can be surrounded by life, love, and opportunity. I want my difference to be in the way people see and treat the animals that inhabit this planet alongside them. I believe everyone can make a difference through ambition for change.

Growing up in my household environment has given me a knack for dealing with people and animals. I have taken care of two, four, none, and more legged friends my entire life. Most recently as a pet sitter for the past five years caring for multiple-sized dogs while their owners are away. These experiences have helped me to grow greatly in my knowledge. It works well alongside my joy of teaching others, having helped out as a summer school aid, and English tutor. Alongside those experiences, I have been given a love for working with others as part of my youth services class, forensics, theater, 4H, public speaking, and my school's Poets and Writers club which I have run for the past two years.
I was raised in a community of animal breeds and spent my childhood as an American Kennel Club(AKC) junior dog handler. Showing both in 4H, and around the U.S. at AKC registered shows. This taught me about different dog breeds, genetics, care, and an appreciation for the love given by man's best friend. Getting to spend time with animals and people together; learning from each other is a blessing, a blessing that I'd like to continue for the rest of my life. Because really how can happiness be perfect if it's not shared?
I am currently seeking to double major in Biology, and Animal Education, with a minor in Zoology, and English. I have always been fascinated by the creatures that live beside us on this planet, and learning the workings of what makes them up would be incredible. I would like to teach others about this fascination. To travel around the country and teach others about animals and their extraordinary differences. I've read many different animal biology and historic teachings. As well as many different types of hands-on learning.
My passion for learning alongside people and animals is the driving force behind my future educational career choices. I'm looking to go into a career where I can be surrounded by life, which is my ultimate goal. I want my difference to be in the way people see and treat the animals that inhabit this planet alongside them. I believe everyone can make a difference through ambition for change.
