TTOG Scholarship
Many lower-income students excel academically yet struggle to afford their collegiate dreams.
These financial burdens can make it impossible to enroll in and complete a college program, leaving many students in cycles of poverty. High-achieving students who push themselves despite their financial limitations should be uplifted so that their dreams aren't out of reach.
This scholarship seeks to honor Terryn, Teagan, and Olivia Giles by supporting students who need financial assistance in order to achieve their educational goals.
Any low or middle-income high school senior in South Carolina who has at least a 3.5 GPA may apply for this scholarship, but applicants with AP, IB, or dual enrollment experience are preferred.
To apply, tell us how the advanced courses you’ve taken have prepared you to be nice and hardworking and how your financial background has hindered your path to higher education.
The Giles family motto is, “the two most important things are to be nice and hard working.” How have the advanced courses you’ve taken (AP, IB, Dual Enrollment) helped prepare you to be nice and hard working? How have your financial circumstances hindered your path to higher education?

The winner will be publicly announced on Jun 24, 2024. Prior to the announcement date, we may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
Award checks will be sent to the financial aid office of the winner's academic institution or future academic institution in their name to be applied to their tuition, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school's requirements). If the award is for a qualified educational non-tuition expense, we will work with the winner directly to distribute the award and make sure it goes towards qualified expenses.
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to confirm their academic enrollment status. Depending on the circumstances, verification of Student ID and/or their most recent transcript will be required.
