Traveling Artist Scholarship
Traveling is an essential self-development tool for artists – comedians, writers, musicians, designers, etc. Traveling extricates you from the values of your own culture and shows you how other societies live under completely different sets of values.
In the process, you develop greater compassion and understanding for the human experience, all of which flows into making great art. Plus, you have a good time with great people along the way.
The Traveling Artist Scholarship is designed to support an artist who wants to explore the world outside of the United States. The scholarship is open to undergraduate students who are currently studying abroad or who plan to study abroad.
Applicants will need to write an essay on how they plan to use travel to develop themselves as people and as artists.
While not required, a history of learning languages and finding unique ways to integrate into different cultures will be a plus on student applications.
How do you plan to use travel to develop yourself as a person and an artist?
