Toucan Language Learning No-Essay Scholarship
Learning a new language can feel like an impossible task that will take years of effort to accomplish.
With so much to learn, it can be difficult to know where to start or to make a plan and stick to it. Even if you take a foreign language class in school, mastery can still be challenging and gaining fluency can be time-consuming. Luckily, Toucan is here to help!
This scholarship seeks to make it easier and more fun for students to broaden their horizons and learn new languages.
To apply, just download the free Toucan extension for your laptop or desktop, pick your language, and start learning!
Toucan helps people learn a new language while browsing the internet. No classes, tests or cram sessions. Instead, each time you visit a website, Toucan automatically translates certain words and phrases on the page into the language you're trying to learn. That way, you can learn words in your new language within the context of a language you're already comfortable with.
Toucan also has an Extra Practice feature designed to help you master verb conjugations, grammar and sentence structure more quickly by inserting micro practice sessions into popular websites like Google, Twitter and Reddit.
