The GEAR UP & TRIO Scholarship
College is an important experience and qualification for many students who have ambitious career goals, but many students face roadblocks that their peers don’t have to worry about.
Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) grants are meant to boost the number of low-income students who are able to attend college. Similarly, federal TRIO programs are designed to uplift disadvantaged students, including low-income students, first-generation college students, and those with disabilities.
This scholarship aims to support students who are underserved so they can have opportunities for higher education and professional success.
Any high school senior or undergraduate student with a 2.5 minimum GPA who is a member of GEAR UP or TRIO may apply for this scholarship opportunity. One award will go to a high school senior, and one will go to a college student.
To apply, tell us what your dream job is and how this scholarship would help you get there. Additionally, upload a letter of recommendation from your TRIO or GEAR UP coordinator or counselor.
