Sullivan Promise Project Scholarship
Society has a fascination with superheroes: everyone loves a good action story, equipped with the super-powered hero who is charming, has a sense of humor, and may or may not possess a cape.
In real life, everyday heroes don’t go around wearing capes. They don’t have fancy costumes or super strength or magic powers. What they do have is a superhuman desire to make an impact on the world. This could be through volunteer work, public service, or simple kindness and empathy. While we make movies about heroes with powers, the unsung heroes are the ones with the true power to make a difference in their communities.
The Sullivan Promise Project Scholarship exists to support students who embody the ‘everyday hero,’ involving themselves in community service or non-profit work. High schoolers from Virginia are eligible to apply if they have a non-traditional home life and yet choose to spend their time making a difference in their community.
Share about how you give back to your community and work to make a positive impact in the world.
