Student Memes Scholarship
When people ask what makes you laugh the most, what do you usually tell them?
Some will say their siblings, others will think of their best friend, but for many, they are the memes they constantly see on the internet.
For the past couple of decades, memes have emerged as laughter mechanisms in many corners of the world. They aren’t a new concept, though.
When cinemas first became popular in the ’40s, it was not uncommon to see iconic lines from popular films posted all across major cities.
Today, creating and sharing original memes is easier than ever. Now, Bold.org members can earn a scholarship for their love of memes!
The scholarship is open to anyone in school and anyone with student debt. To enter, all you need to do is:
Here’s how:
- Submit your favorite memes related to student debt, school, or anything related to education. Bonus points for humor and originality.
- Share a short caption for the meme(s), including your Instagram handle.
- Follow the @BoldDotOrg Instagram account and like/comment on your favorite posts.
The best submissions will get featured on the @BoldDotOrg Instagram account, and the winner will be announced via Instagram as well!
Bold.org will be awarding a scholarship each day in November to celebrate National Scholarship Month. Follow along on Bold.org's Instagram and TikTok for daily announcements of scholarships and winners!
Submit your memes, captions, and Instagram handle here.

The winner will be publicly announced on Nov 3, 2020. Prior to the announcement date, we may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
Award checks will be sent to the financial aid office of the winner's academic institution in their name to be applied to their tuition, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school's requirements). If the award is for a qualified educational non-tuition expense, we will work with the winner directly to distribute the award and make sure it goes towards qualified expenses.
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to confirm their academic enrollment status. Depending on the circumstances, verification of Student ID and/or their most recent transcript will be required.
