Small Town, Big Dreams Scholarship
Langston Hughes once wrote, "What happens to a dream deferred? Does it dry up like a raisin in the sun? Or fester like a sore--and then run?"
This question has weighed heavy on me since I first heard it in Mrs. Sullivan's English II class. God has seen fit to allow me to live my dreams each day, and because of that gift, I want to return the favor to ensure that others’ dreams don’t have to be those deferred.
You are only as big as the dream you dare to live, and without the courage to find it, your dream may stay cooped up in your head.
To support ambitious students who want to pursue and attain their biggest dreams, the Small Town, Big Dreams Scholarship exists and will be awarded to one South Carolina senior who has been accepted to attend a 2-4 year university or trade/vocational training program.
To apply, please tell us about your dream and how you plan to bring it to life.
My personal philosophy is, "you are only as big as the dream you dare to live." Please tell us about your dream and how you plan to bring it to life.

We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
Award checks will be sent to the financial aid office of the winner's academic institution or future academic institution in their name to be applied to their tuition, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school's requirements). If the award is for a qualified educational non-tuition expense, we will work with the winner directly to distribute the award and make sure it goes towards qualified expenses.
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to confirm their academic enrollment status. Depending on the circumstances, verification of Student ID and/or their most recent transcript will be required.
