Siv Anderson Memorial Scholarship for Education in Healthcare
The healthcare industry spans many professions and fields, from human care to veterinary services to dental work.
The professionals working in all of these positions are crucial to the well-being of society, from individuals to families to farm animals and pets. The future of these fields depends on the success of the next generation in pursuing their educational goals and preparing for their careers.
This scholarship aims to honor the life of Siv Anderson by supporting students who are passionate about pursuing careers in healthcare. Siv was an RN and worked at Denison High School for many years as a teacher and the Health Occupations Program Director. She was active in the Health Occupations Students of American (HOSA) with her colleagues and students. She was deeply committed to the education of her students and supporting them in future careers in the health professions, particularly in the greater Denison/Sherman area.
Any high school senior at Denison High School in Texas may apply for this scholarship opportunity if they plan to pursue a two or four-year undergraduate degree in healthcare.

The winner will be publicly announced on May 8, 2025. Prior to the announcement date, we may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
Award checks will be sent to the financial aid office of the winner's academic institution or future academic institution in their name to be applied to their tuition, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school's requirements). If the award is for a qualified educational non-tuition expense, we will work with the winner directly to distribute the award and make sure it goes towards qualified expenses.
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to confirm their academic enrollment status. Depending on the circumstances, verification of Student ID and/or their most recent transcript will be required.
