Sigirci-Jones Scholarship
Nurses are essential workers in our society and have persevered through staffing issues, pandemics, and more.
Unfortunately, there is a growing shortage of nurses in the U.S. which is expected to continue to grow as many current nurses reach retirement age. By 2030, 1 million nurses are expected to retire, an entire quarter of the current nursing workforce. In order to ensure that there are adequate nurses to address healthcare needs, it’s critical that today’s students are encouraged to pursue their nursing ambitions.
This scholarship aims to support students who are pursuing careers in nursing so they can afford to complete their education.
Any undergraduate student who has at least a 3.2 GPA and is pursuing nursing may apply for this scholarship.
To apply, tell us what your career goals are, why you decided to pursue nursing, and a hardship you’ve had to overcome.
What are your career goals as a nurse? Why did you decide to pursue nursing? Additionally, describe a hardship you have had to overcome and how that will impact your career.
