Sara Molina Memorial Scholarship
Growing up in Villalba, Puerto Rico, Sara faced challenges early on. She left school in third grade to help sustain the family. Despite her illiteracy, she persevered.
After marrying in Puerto Rico and moving to New Jersey with her children, Sara found her life shattered when her husband left, leaving her to support her four children alone. Undeterred, Sara worked tirelessly in various roles, from housekeeping to office cleaning, ensuring her children received the education she never had.
Through her children's experiences, Sara recognized the transformative impact of education. In honor of Sara's memory, we are proud to introduce the Sara Molina Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship aims to empower and support female students in Puerto Rico who need a little help shaping a better future.
The Sara Molina Memorial Scholarship is open to all female students in Puerto Rico attending or looking to attend four years of college or a two-year degree at a college/vocational/technical school. To be considered, applicants are invited to share their personal stories and articulate how this scholarship can help them shape their dreams.
