Revolutionary Builder Scholarship
Community involvement creates revolutionary change and is essential for improving the quality of life within the community.
Giving back to one’s community continues the growth and prosperity of its inhabitants and creates a better world for future generations. Community service and non-profit work are vital ways to contribute to the well-being of one’s community, especially if the service involved lifts up those who are underserved or disadvantaged.
This scholarship seeks to support high school seniors in Washington, D.C. and Howard University freshmen so they can go on to make a positive impact on the world.
Any high school senior in D.C. or undergraduate freshman attending Howard University with non-profit or community service experience may apply for this scholarship, but femme-identifying BIPOC students are preferred.
To apply, submit a 1-2 minute video OR 250-500 word essay describing the qualities, skills, and experiences of the ideal revolutionary person and how they would make a difference in their community.
Imagine that you are tasked with building your own image of the ideal revolutionary person. In 250-500 words, explain how their qualities, skills, and experiences shape how they would make an impact on their community.
