Identity:
LGBTQ+ community member or an ally

Across the United States, far too many people in the LGBTQ+ community are denied human rights, robbed of big opportunities, and ridiculed solely because of their identity.

Frequently experiencing hate and discrimination can often manifest itself in harmful ways. Seeing that LGBTQ+ youth seriously contemplate suicide at almost three times the rate of heterosexual youth, there need to be distinct opportunities for members of the LGTBQ+ community to feel safe and supported in their fight for equality.

At Pride Palace, we are that change. As an LGBTQ+ apparel company aiming to create a community, called our family, our team is dedicated to encouraging people to physically embrace their pride. We believe in amplifying the voices of the LGBTQ+ community as they are all voices that deserve to be heard.

The Pride Palace LGBTQ+ Scholarship will be awarded to a person who is a champion for change in the LGBTQ+ community. If you identify within the LGBTQ+ community, you're eligible to apply.

To apply, please submit your social media and share in three or fewer sentences, what makes you proud to be a part of the LGBTQ community.

I am proud to be queer because our community stood in the face of adversity to overcome struggles, violence, and discrimination just to love who we love. I am proud because I got to see family members finally get married in the eyes of the law. I am proud because I can be myself, advocate, and be a role model for those who are not as privileged as I am. Instagram: @noaburle Facebook: Noa Burle

Instagram: @blackberry_hours I am proud to be bisexual because it forms a unique part of my identity. I have been criticized in the past for speaking publicly about my experience as a bisexual person, and I am proud that I was able to overcome this unjust criticism. Finally, I am overjoyed and reassured to know that I have a large community of other LGBTQ+ people to support me when I need help.
