Otis Watkins Memorial Scholarship
Otis Watkins was a prominent local musician in Oklahoma who was born with a gift for music.
Otis taught himself how to play instruments and went on to win numerous awards for his guitar skills. Otis was a local legend and member of the Otis Watkins Band, a blues band that served as an inspiration to many young musicians.
Otis believed in a strong community, and instilled value for others not only through his music but his personal relationships as well. Otis's daughter went on to carry on this legacy of giving back by attending nursing school and becoming a registered nurse.
This scholarship aims to help aspiring nurses in Oklahoma so they can afford the cost of tuition and pursue their dreams.
Any high school senior or undergraduate pursuing a degree in nursing in Oklahoma may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
