Ocho Cares Artistry Scholarship
Creations often succeed where language fails.
Art and creative expression have long been an integral part of history all over the world. Works of art have told unique stories of what life was like for people centuries before us.
From breathtaking cave paintings, to Toni Morrison’s captivatingly vivid literature, to soothing music on the big screens, we feel the raw emotions of the human race through their own unique artistic expression.
As an artist myself, I find it extremely important to encourage young artists and creators to express themselves as authentically as possible. Freedom of expression drives new ideas, and new ideas drive change that we could have never imagined.
The Ocho Cares Artistry Scholarship will support students who are keen to express themselves through the arts and are passionate about their works.
You must be a high school or undergraduate student to be eligible for this scholarship. To apply, please discuss what being an artist/creator means to you, what drives you, how you’re connected to your pieces, and how you plan to use your creations to connect and create change for future generations.
If you’d like, you may also submit a link to your creative art portfolio to showcase your work!
What does being an artist mean to you? How does it drive you? How are you connected to it? How do you plan to use your art to connect and create change for future generations?
