Najal Judd Women in STEM Scholarship
The Najal Judd Women in STEM Scholarship has already been awarded, but we have lots more available scholarships for women and others particularly for women in STEM.
Women make up nearly half of the US labor market, but only 28% of the STEM workforce is female. The gender gap is even higher in some of the fastest-growing and highest-paid tech & engineering jobs.
In order to solve complex problems of the future, the US needs more women entering science, technology, engineering, and math fields. Gender diversity introduces new perspectives and helps improve the STEM talent pool.
Across the country, women are largely underrepresented in STEM because they lack support from their peers, colleagues, and mentors.
The Najal Judd Women in STEM Scholarship exists to support and incentivize young women to pursue a degree in STEM. This $500 award will help female students pay their college tuition.
Applicants must write a short essay about the lessons they’ve learned through their journey in STEM. Additionally, applicants must also provide a short video about their goals/ambitions moving forward in STEM.
What's the most important lesson (social, educational, personal, etc.) you have learned thus far in your STEM studies? Please also submit a link to a short video of you talking about your goals.
