Moms on the Rise (MoThR) Scholarship: Empowering Young Mothers Through Education
Becoming a mother is a life-changing experience, and at a young age, it can present unique challenges. Less than 2% of teen mothers earn a bachelor's degree by age 30. This scholarship believes that motherhood should not hinder the pursuit of dreams and that young mothers deserve a robust support system to help them flourish.
This scholarship is more than just financial aid; it is a commitment to supporting ambitious teen mothers on their path to educational success. Balancing childcare, finances, and education can be overwhelming. This scholarship hopes to provide a helping hand and empower young mothers to reach their full potential.
This scholarship seeks to support young, teenage mothers so they can further their education and achieve their educational goals.
Any person who is or was a teen mother may apply for this scholarship if they are a resident of Washington or Oregon. Students residing in the following five counties in the Columbia River Gorge in Washington or Oregon: Wasco, Hood River, Klickitat, Sherman, or Gilliam, are highly preferred.
To apply, share your experiences as a teenage mother, the obstacles you have overcome, and your aspirations for the future.
