This scholarship seeks to honor the life of Margaret A. Briller by supporting women who are following in her footsteps and pursuing the nursing field. 

Any African American female, undergraduate or graduate student, residing in the state of Texas, and pursuing a nursing degree may apply for this scholarship opportunity.

Being that I am also a black single mother, pursuing a major in nursing, in the state of Texas. One of the key personal characteristics that I possess is empathy. I have always been driven by a strong desire to help others, and nursing provides the perfect avenue for me to do so. I am committed to providing compassionate care to patients, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being. Margaret A. Briller's dedication to serving others resonates deeply with me, and I strive to emulate her commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of those I encounter. In addition to empathy, I am also highly motivated and dedicated to my studies. I understand the importance of continuous learning and professional development in the field of nursing.
