Lisa and Josh are travel YouTubers.
Their channel is built around one mission: help as many people as possible travel the world on a budget. Especially because they couldn’t afford to study abroad when they were in college, they feel this scholarship is the most direct way to help students travel.
Going on their first trips abroad changed EVERYTHING for them, in the best way possible. The experience opened them up to the world, gave them the chance to explore new places, learn new cultures, meet new people, take on different ways of thinking, and try all sorts of delicious food. With the ability to travel full time, they are looking to pass that good fortune on to as many people as they possibly can, starting with you.
Any first-generation undergraduate student who is a U.S. citizen accepted into a study abroad program may apply for this scholarship, but applicants who are underrepresented minorities are preferred.
To apply, please record a video no longer than two minutes that tells us: 1. who you are, 2. what you’re going to use this scholarship for (where are you going, what are you doing, what you hope to get out of your study abroad program), and 3. why you need this scholarship. Bonus points for sharing your community impact.
After recording your video, click “Apply” and follow the instructions to upload it to our Dropbox link. Then, copy the video title from the Dropbox confirmation email and paste it into the essay section of your application before submitting it.
(Nothing fancy required - just you and your phone in selfie mode telling us about yourself and why this is a big deal for you! There’s no need for formality - we just want you to be yourself. Hit us with as much of your personality as you feel comfortable with!)

The winner will be publicly announced on Oct 1, 2024. Prior to the announcement date, we may contact finalists with additional questions about their application. We will work with donors to review all applications according to the scholarship criteria. Winners will be chosen based on the merit of their application.
Award checks will be sent to the financial aid office of the winner's academic institution in their name to be applied to their tuition, and in the name of their institution (depending on the school's requirements). If the award is for a qualified educational non-tuition expense, we will work with the winner directly to distribute the award and make sure it goes towards qualified expenses.
Before we award the scholarship, the winner will be required to confirm their academic enrollment status. Depending on the circumstances, verification of Student ID and/or their most recent transcript will be required.
