Lexi Hidalgo Scholarship for Rescue Animals & Mental Health
Lexi Hidalgo is a rising social media creator (@lexxhidalgo) from South Florida who is passionate about giving back.
Lexi has a podcast called The Moments Podcast, in which she shares life lessons in order to build community. Additionally, Lexi is committed to animal rescue and has been volunteering at the Tri-County Animal Rescue in Boca Raton for a year and a half, finding joy and comfort in the resilience of the shelter animals.
This scholarship aims to support and celebrate young individuals who share Lexi's passion for making a difference in the lives of rescue animals and promoting mental health through volunteer work.
Any high school or undergraduate student who is passionate about rescue animals, mental health, and volunteerism may apply for this scholarship opportunity.
Instead of traditional essays, applicants are invited to submit a video entry answering the following prompt: Showcase your involvement with animals, particularly rescue animals or animal shelters. Discuss the impact of volunteering on your mental health. Share a personal story of how rescuing an animal has transformed your life or improved your mental health. Bonus Points: Incorporate your animals into your video to give us a glimpse into the beautiful bonds you've formed.
