Kevin R. Mabee Memorial Scholarship
Kevin R. Mabee was a beloved fiancé whose life was cut short by an accident on his way to work.
Kevin was a vegan. He also believed in the benefit of 100% plant-based diets. Many restaurants now offer limited plant-based options as the diet is becoming more accessible. Eating a 100% plant based diet also comes with many health benefits, such as lower rates of disease.
This scholarship aims to keep Kevin R. Mabee’s legacy alive by supporting students who are passionate about health.
Any high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student who is interested in becoming a dietician or is studying nutrition or health science may apply for this scholarship, but vegan applicants are preferred.
To apply, tell us about yourself, how you chose this career path, what has inspired your diet, and your story if you’re vegan.
Tell us about yourself and why you chose this career path. If you eat a healthy or plant-based diet, tell us what influenced you to do so and why, such as family, health, books, documentaries, religion, etc. If you are vegan, tell us your vegan story.
