Jaqaun Webb Scholarship
Despite efforts to diversify college campuses, many systemic barriers still remain and continue to make college less accessible for Black students.
As a result, Black students at four-year institutions have the lowest completion rate of all races and ethnicities, with just 45.9% completing their degrees within six years. This gap in college completion fuels the racial wealth gap due to the limited job opportunities available to adults without college degrees.
This scholarship aims to support minority high school seniors who display exemplary character and plan to attend college.
Any Black or African American high school senior who has at least a 3.0 GPA and will pursue a four-year degree may apply for this scholarship.
To apply, tell us how you plan to succeed in college and what you believe the benefits of a college degree are.
