Jaki Nelson LGBTQ+ Music Education Scholarship
“Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination, and life to everything.” – Plato
For many people in the LGBTQ+ community, music is a transcendental mechanism for healing, joy, and self-expression.
As one small part of supporting the importance of music in the LGBTQ+ community, the Jaki Nelson LGBTQ+ Music Education Scholarship exists to support an LGBTQ+ student who is passionate about studying music and/or pursuing a career in the music industry.
Applicants will write an essay about the role of music in their lives.
