Gracefully Chosen Foundation Fine Art Scholarship
Many students are skilled in the arts but don’t have the resources they need to explore their interests and keep up with their hobbies.
Art supplies can be expensive and difficult to access for students with limited funds. While art classes and clubs in school can be a great way for students of all economic backgrounds to practice, arts often aren’t prioritized or properly funded in schools. Art classes and programs are often the first to go when a school is tight on money, space, or teachers, leaving many students without opportunities to engage in art.
This scholarship seeks to support students who love to make art so they can afford to pursue their dreams and passions.
Any Black or African American high school, undergraduate, or graduate student who is a Georgia resident and majoring in art may apply for this scholarship opportunity, but applicants who grew up in the inner city and those who have GPAs of at least 3.2 are preferred.
To apply, tell us about your background, why you want to be an artist, and who your inspiration is. Please also submit your artist statement. Additionally, upload examples of your artwork.
Write a 1,000-word essay about your background, particularly if you grew up in the inner city. Why do you want to be an artist? Who inspires you? Please also share your artist statement.
