Go Blue America Thought Leadership Scholarship
Gerrymandering, regardless of political party, is a detriment to our foundational charter of being a representative democracy. By "stacking the deck" based on expected voting patterns, we have devolved in representing the people, and instead are drawing districts that can put our preferred political representatives into power.
The Go Blue America Thought Leadership Scholarship is designed to encourage students to think about important societal issues and come up with viable solutions to these problems.
You must be an incoming freshman at an accredited 4-year college or university with an interest in studying political science, criminal justice, pre-law, or economics to be eligible for this scholarship.
To apply, please write a short essay on why our current gerrymandering policies are dangerous, and how we can inject equity into the process on a state-by-state level.
Why are our current gerrymandering policies dangerous, and how we can inject equity into the process on a state-by-state level?
