Gloria J. Willis Memorial Scholarship
The COVID-19 pandemic has been devastating to the world in a variety of ways, including in terms of mental health.
Pandemic-related stress has been associated with higher rates of anxiety and depression, substance abuse, and even suicide consideration. Healthcare workers and students have been particularly impacted by the strain of the pandemic, resulting in some students reconsidering their career paths due to the mental challenges of the pandemic.
This scholarship seeks to support aspiring medical students who have been directly impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and its effect on mental health.
Any first-generation, BIPOC undergraduate or graduate student pursuing pre-med, med school, nursing, or psychology may apply for this scholarship.
