Fairbairn FisioTherapy Fund
Physical therapists play a vital role in healthcare, diagnosing and treating musculoskeletal, neurological, pulmonary, and oncological disorders.
Many prospective physical therapy students find it difficult to access funding - more than 70% are concerned about loan repayment either due to inadequate income or financial security status. Additionally, representation in this field is lacking. Only 4% of physical therapy professionals are African-American. The Fairbairn FisioTherapy Fund seeks to empower diverse BIPOC students to enter a much-needed STEM field.
This scholarship is specifically for BIPOC undergraduate and graduate students pursuing a degree in physical therapy. To apply, write about your journey, your future, and why paying it forward is important.
Answer all of the following questions:
1. Tell us about the importance of paying it forward.
2. Please share about your journey to choosing the physical therapy field and how you plan to make a positive impact on the world through this path.
3. Where do you see yourself five years from now?
