Collaboration & Diversity in Healthcare Scholarship
Oftentimes, successful projects and initiatives are a product of teamwork and multiple perspectives.
For students wanting to pursue a career in the medical field, it’s clear that collaboration is a large part of the system’s efficiency — whether it’s through working with a fellow healthcare team or forming the physician-patient relationship. The Collaboration & Diversity in Healthcare Scholarship will support students that have a unique perspective on what collaboration, teamwork, openness to many views, and other similar values in the medical and healthcare field mean to them.
High school juniors, seniors, trade school students, and undergraduates are eligible to apply if they have volunteer experience and plan to major in the healthcare field. To apply, write about the importance of collaboration and diversity in the healthcare field and about an experience where you’ve worked in a collaborative study.
Why is collaboration and diversity important in advancing the healthcare and medical field? How will you apply these values to your future work in this field? Discuss a past experience that you had in working in a collaborative setting that helped you reach a pivotal stage or success. (This experience does not have to be related to medicine or healthcare.)
