Chef John Patrick Thompson Culinary Arts Scholarship
Culinary school enrollment has been on the rise in recent years, but high tuition rates still deter many students from pursuing a culinary education.
The average culinary tuition has surpassed $30,000, making it difficult for many students to afford. As a result, many students don’t end up pursuing their dream of working in the culinary arts.
Riverhouse Hospitality is honoring the memory of Chef John Patrick Thompson, former Executive Chef for the award-winning The Riverhouse at Goodspeed Station in Haddam Connecticut. This scholarship seeks to support high school seniors who are looking to pursue a culinary education and career.
Any high school senior who is planning to attend a culinary school or pursue a culinary-related degree may apply for this scholarship.
