Betty and Earl Hinson Scholarship
For the majority of their adult lives, Betty and Earl Hinson, devoted their time and energy to the Arlington Independent School District as educators, in addition to Earl’s role as a coach and administrator.
The children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of Betty and Earl Hinson established this scholarship fund, to honor the instruction they provided and their desire to make a lasting impact on the lives of the students they served. It is our goal to support the dreams of high school students in Texas, as they transition to college, by providing funding & support with the annual Betty and Earl Hinson Scholarship.
Any high school senior in Texas who has a 3.0 GPA, is involved in extracurricular activities, and will attend a 2 or 4 year college after graduation may apply for this scholarship.
To apply, share with us what teacher, coach, or administrator has made the biggest impact on your life, and explain how they inspired you and what lessons you learned from them that you will go on to exemplify in the future.
