Ann Holiday Memorial Scholarship
Ann Holiday was a beloved mother who passed away too soon on September 1, 2023. She leaves behind her loving son, who she always advocated for and encouraged.
Ann prioritized her son's education, notably advocating for North Carolina A&T State University. She believed in its transformative power for young Black individuals, emphasizing its role in nurturing their potential. Her belief in him never wavered, even as he selfishly entertained thoughts of leaving before her.
Her passing left an unfillable void. However, her family resolved to honor her legacy by ensuring her dream continued through supporting future Aggies. The family recognizes the university as a beacon of Black excellence, where students learn accountability, knowledge, and the value of uniqueness. It's where enduring friendships are forged and where aspirations flourish.
Though he couldn't bring her back, he vowed to perpetuate her vision by assisting young Aggies in realizing their dreams. In this tangible way, he sought to keep her spirit alive, ensuring her belief in Black potential endured.
This scholarship seeks to honor the life of Ann Holiday by supporting students pursuing higher education at HBCUs.
