Andrea M Taylor Future Doctors Scholarship
Due to a lack of opportunity, the medical system is still full of racial discrimination that leads to subpar care for many minority patients.
When there are more African American doctors at the table, people of color benefit from better treatment and improved outcomes when in the hospital. In order to create this equitability in the medical field, it’s crucial that African American students have the resources they need to complete their medical training.
This scholarship seeks to support disadvantaged African American students from disadvantaged communities who aspire to become doctors.
Any low-income, African American high school senior, undergraduate, or graduate student pursuing a medical degree may apply for this scholarship, and LGBTQ+ students are strongly encouraged to apply!
To apply, tell us why you want to become a doctor and what types of books and charitable activities you’ve engaged with to shape the person you are today.
Why do you aspire to become a Medical Doctor? Why are you passionate about becoming a Medical Doctor? What type of books have you read along with social and charitable activities that you have participated in that you believe have shaped the person that you are?
