Our story

Warren Liberatore was born a son of immigrants in 1943. After high school and military prep, he earned his BS degree in Industrial Art and Education and his Masters of Education in Industrial Arts. He held many memberships to honor societies and was a life member of the American Industrial Arts Association. "Mr. Lib" began his teaching career first in middle school metal shop then high school graphic arts (printing). He spent 32 years in the Bethel Park School District, where he taught graphic arts, drafting, power tech, woodworking and principles of technology. Warren worked with youth his entire adult life. He coached T-ball, was a leader for the Royal Rangers, and coached at sportsman clubs, one of which he was a founding member. He had a sense of humor like none other and was beloved for his ability to make anyone laugh. The only thing bigger than his laugh was his heart.

Our goal

I want to start The Waymakers Fund to honor my Pap’s lifelong commitment to education, particularly in the trades and vocational fields. He believed deeply in the value of hands-on learning and the opportunities it provides for students who pursue non-traditional paths. By supporting students in financial need, this scholarship reflects his passion for empowering others to achieve their full potential. My hope is that this fund will continue his legacy of making a tangible difference in the lives of young people, helping them to build meaningful careers and contribute positively to their communities.
