Our story

Cedric Scott, Jr. has been fighting student debt through Bold.org since October 2021 as a way of encouraging African American students who look to pursue a career in STEM. In honor of Julia Elizabeth, this fund will go toward giving financial supporting to up-and-coming Black students as they follow their passions in STEM fields.

I’m contributing to this scholarship because opportunity should never feel out of reach for those who are ready to step forward. The Julia Elizabeth Legacy Scholarship honors a woman who believed in education, resilience, and the power of lifting others up. Her legacy lives on by supporting Black students in STEM—students who have the talent, the drive, and the vision to make an impact. This scholarship is a reminder that when we invest in people, we invest in progress. If you’re a student purs
