Our story
With a B.A. from UCLA, Mark Williams taught English at Banning High School (LAUSD) for 26 years before he passed, just 3 years before he had planned to retire. Mark had a great sense of humor, which he used in his classroom, inspiring hundreds of students to continue their education after high school.
He loved fishing, hiking, camping in the Sierras, snorkeling in Hawaii, traveling to Europe, Disneyland, Star Trek, road-trips to national parks, and spending time with husband, family and friends.
Our goal
This scholarship aims to support hardworking high school seniors in Redondo Beach, Lomida, Torrance, Lawndale, Wilmington, El Segundo, or Manhattan Beach, CA who are going to continue their education through college or trade school.

Mark was an amazing brother, teacher and person to all he met. He loved teaching his students and always was patient with them. He wanted SO much success for all the students lives he touched. Best of luck to the applicants of his scholarship!!!
