Our story
Ms. Marian Haley was a life long educator who resided in the great state of Arizona. She is remembered fondly by dozens of her students at Agua Fria, with whom she emphasized the school's motto, "Honor First, Win or Lose."
She received national recognition for her work in civics education for which she was one of a dozen teachers honored and invited to participate in a week-long education seminar taught by U.S. Supreme Court justices in Washington, DC.
Ms. Haley was a long-time volunteer with the Avondale Police Department as well as a strong supporter of the military and provided dozens of holiday packages and donations each year to troops overseas-all on a teacher's salary. Unfortunately in 2019, Ms. Haley’s battle with cancer had ended but, her memory lives on forever with us all! It is a great honor to carry on the legacy of the most wonderful and warm hearted person we all were blessed to know! ❤️
Our goal
It is our goal to award between $500-2,000 per student each year and to increase the number of applicants of which funding is granted to.
