Our story

Isaiah Vasquez was a proud former Liestman Elementary student. At 12 years old he was diagnosed with terminal cancer. He was cared for by incredible teams of Healthcare workers until his passing two years later. Isaiah loved school. He was very proud of his education and he was grateful to his medical teams. This scholarship will honor his memory by combining his passion for school, learning, gratitude, and life.

Our goal

The Liestman Elementary Isaiah12 scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior entering the healthcare profession. As Isaiah’s mother and Liestman Elementary teacher; with the support of friends, family, Liestman staff and community we would like to create a yearly scholarship to award one HS Senior in ALIEFISD a scholarship. We hope to raise 1,200 a year to award.
