Our story

Kenneth R. Vessey Jr. had a positive impact on everyone that he came in contact with. He was a talented engineer and had encyclopedic knowledge when it came to safety practices. Ken was incredibly generous with his time and effort and he loved seeing everyone around him succeed and thrive. He was beloved by the entire FRC robotics community.

Our goal

The purpose of this fund is to provide a source for the Kenneth R. Vessey Jr. Robotics Scholarship that I want to offer to students in a region of New York State. This scholarship will be rewarded in memory of one of the mentors of FRC Robotics Team 3624 - a man who gave a great deal of time and effort to spreading awareness in the area of safety and encouraged young people everywhere to pursue careers in STEM fields.

Mr. Vessey was one of the most enthusiastic people I have ever known. He deeply cared about FIRST and the growth of STEM. While I am no longer a part of the STEM field, I truly value everything he has taught me. He will be missed.
