John F. Rowe Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund

Our brother John F. Rowe Jr., was a FDNY fireman for 7 years and a veteran of the U.S. Army serving two tours in Iraq. John passed away suddenly due to an undiagnosed heart condition on June 22, 2023. John's surviving family wants to ensure that John's deep commitment and love for his city and country endures. Educational exceptionalism deserves recognition, but is not the only measure of success. Falling down, dusting off and finding the grit and fortitude to continue to pursue your life's purpose must also be rewarded. The Rowe memorial scholarship wants to award young adults who have overcome hardships of their own and have demonstrated the ability to continue fighting to realize their goals. The intent is to provide some measure of financial support to eligible applicants who are continuing their educational journey toward careers in public or community service.
