Our story
This scholarship celebrates the loved ones who supported me in my early journey to become an educator. I honor my grandfather Albert Green; my parents, Elder Alonzo Green and First Lady Sharon Green; and my former pastor Bishop Melvin Davis and his wife, First Lady Lydia Davis, for their kind and caring encouragement. Their guidance during this time is deeply appreciated.
Our goal
I am pleased to announce the establishment of the Green Davis Teacher Training Scholarship, designed specifically for aspiring educators who possess a strong dedication to positively impacting the lives of students. Exceptional educators go beyond the act of teaching; they ignite, direct, and bolster the development of their students. The award, valued at $1,000, is available to students enrolled in a two- or four-year education program. It is renewable annually. The scholarship is specifically aimed at those who possess a strong commitment to fostering inclusive, culturally and linguistically responsive classrooms that prioritize the safety and well-being of all students. My objective is to assist a committed individual in becoming a constructive influence in the classroom and school community, continuing the tradition of influential and empathetic teaching.
