Empowering Futures Scholarship Fund for Young Women

We are excited to announce the launch of the Empowering Futures Scholarship Fund, dedicated to supporting young women in their pursuit of higher education. Our mission is to alleviate the financial burden of college expenses, specifically focusing on the costs of books and supplies, which are essential for academic success. Why This Matters: Education is a powerful tool that can transform lives and communities. However, many young women face significant financial barriers that hinder their ability to fully engage in their studies. By providing scholarships for books and supplies, we aim to ensure that every young woman has the resources she needs to excel in her academic journey. My daughter, Takari Little, is the inspiration behind developing this scholarship to give back to the community. As a young teenage mother, she was able to further her college education through scholarship opportunities and is now a successful leader in her career as well as wife and mother of 4 beautiful children. Our goal is to aid others like her to succeed in the pursuit of their own goals by providing resources to meet a substantial need. Our goal is to raise $2,000 towards a scholarship awarded to a recipient meeting the criteria by Fall 2025. Together, we can make a significant difference in the lives of young women striving for academic excellence.
