Honoring Douglas: A Legacy of Passion, Creativity, and Compassion Douglas was a bright light in the world, a thriving student, and a talented artist. As a graduate of the LA Film School, he earned his Associate’s Degree in Music Production with Magna Cum Laude honors and was close to completing his Bachelor of Science in Audio Engineering with similar distinction. Douglas’s talent, dedication, and hard work opened doors for him, and he was excited to start an internship as an assistant sound editor on an upcoming film project. Music and performance were at the heart of who Douglas was. From musical theater performances in his younger years to international tours with the Young Americans across Japan, South Korea, and Germany, he had a unique way of connecting with people through art. His radiant smile, infectious joy for life, sharp intellect, and compassionate heart made him deeply loved by everyone who knew him. To honor Douglas’s legacy, we’ve created this memorial fund to support other young dreamers with aspirations in music, sound, and creative arts. Every tax deductible contribution will help students pursue their goals and passions, embodying the spirit of kindness, creativity, and boundless potential that Douglas radiated in his life. Douglas's love extended deeply to his family, close friends and his cherished German Shepherd, Apollo—a piece of his warmth and memory we hold dear every day.
