Our story
Betty graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from Morris College in 1969 and later earned her Masters in Educational Administration and her Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina. Louie graduated with a Bachelor of Science from South Carolina State College (now University) in 1966. He went on to earn an MBA from Boston University (1981) and a MET from Murray State University (1989).
Our goal
This scholarship aims to honor Betty G. Dicks and Louie A. Dicks Sr. (affectionately known as “Grandma Betty & Big Lou”) by supporting male students at South Carolina State University.
