The Selin’s Whisper Foundation was created in loving memory of Selin, an extraordinary young woman who was a gifted linguist, a talented photographer, and a compassionate soul. Fluent in four languages, Selin’s curiosity and passion for the world’s cultures were reflected in her art and her deep connections with others. Through her photography, she captured moments of beauty and meaning, using her unique perspective to tell stories that resonated with everyone who knew her. ​Despite her many talents and the light she brought into the world, Selin struggled with mental health challenges. At the age of 27, we tragically lost her to suicide. In the wake of this unimaginable loss, Selin’s Whisper was founded to honor Selin’s life by inspiring kindness early on and championing lasting support through mental health awareness, suicide prevention, and meaningful scholarships. ​We believe Selin’s story can be a source of hope, inspiring others to seek help and bring light to those struggling in silence.
