I am so incredibly thankful for your support, and also the opportunity to share my experiences for the given topic. Knowing the topic can be sensitive to many, I am certain there were many beautiful essays to choose from, and could not be more grateful that I was selected from a very strong group of candidates and finalists. Your support will not end with me; I hope to extend your hand out in the future as I further my studies in Neuroscience and provide outlets to teens affected by addiction. Beyond significantly helping me financially, your support motivates me to continue pursuing my current academic interests, knowing I am validated by an incredible donor with a drive to make change.
