To invest in Black and Brown communities by providing financial support to college students and in effect decrease their overall student loan debt burden. The matriarchs in my family, who themselves did not have the opportunity to go to school, nourished and celebrated my studies. This is a tribute to them and our way of sowing the seeds for others. Ubuntu is a South African word that means, "I am, because you are." It was one of former President Nelson Mandela's guiding principles that we are all bound together, and one that stuck with me long after I left South Africa.
