The mission of the Monroe Justice and Equality Memorial Scholarship is to help build a just and equitable relationship between the African American community and the American Justice System in an effort to overcome the challenges of racially biased policing in America, and encourage African Americans to bring about positive change within the American legal system by assuming roles in law enforcement and the justice system while fostering the highest moral and ethical standards required of legal and law enforcement professions.
