Dear Bold Investing Scholarship Panel, Thank you for the opportunity you gave me through your generous scholarship. Receiving this scholarship meant a great deal to me. It was an honor to have been selected from all the qualified applicants, and I appreciated your decision. This scholarship provided me with much-needed financial assistance. Reflecting on my first year at NC A&T, your scholarship allowed me to pursue my academic goals with greater ease and focus. Your support gave me confidence, and I finished my first semester on the Chancellor's list. I am committed to finishing the current semester just as strongly. Again, I thank you for your support. Sincerely,

Thank you for choosing me! I am an Honor roll student and the recipient of many certificates of accomplishments. I come from a low-income household where I am a first-generation student. I want to become a leader and role model for other young adults pursuing a career in health and medicine. For me, education equals opportunity. However, the first opportunity I require is funding. My goal in life is to become a doctor and now I am one step closer. Thank you again! :3

Winning this scholarship has genuinely changed my life. By receiving this award, I was able to afford living on campus for the first time ever. I had never felt more connected to EKU's community until then. I made lifelong friends, joined clubs that I love, and have become very involved in the recreation center. I sincerely thank everyone at Bold.Org for the support and will continue to take full advantage of the opportunity I have been given!

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am and what winning this scholarship means to me and my two boys. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts! I was not sure how I was going to pay for my books or student loan payments but winning this has made those things possible and relieved a huge amount of stress for my family. This is such a blessing. Thank you, again!

Thank you so much to Bold.org for creating this opportunity for Swiftie Students like me! It was my "Wildest Dreams" to receive this award, and I've lived in "Wonderland" ever since. Okay, Taylor puns aside—I'm immensely grateful and will use the award funds to continue pursuing my academic and career goals. Next semester, I will enter my first practicum and will be working at an inpatient psychiatric hospital to develop my generalist skills as a blossoming Social Worker. Earning awards like this motivates me to keep on with my goals and reassures me in this journey. Thank you again!

To me, winning this scholarship means that my student debt from college will be further offset, and I will be able to continue pursuing undergraduate and graduate education. In addition, I am genuinely grateful for the opportunities this scholarship will provide by helping me cover my educational expenses and enabling me to better prepare myself for a career in engineering and research. From my experience, the knowledge you gain throughout your degree and career can be life-changing. Thus, I hope more students will receive scholarships, grants, and financial aid as I have and use the opportunities their academic journey offers them.

Thank you so much for providing this intellectual yet fun opportunity for students to win scholarship money: this scholarship will be used to fund my piano lessons for this semester, which are crucial to me as a piano performance major. It's because of generous donors and great organisations that work with said donors that students are able to continue their education without fear of financial instability. You have allowed individuals to achieve their educational goals and give back to the community, and hopefully they'll be able to fulfil all of their dreams one day. Again, thank you for your generosity!

Dear Bold.org, It is an honor to be chosen as one of the recipients of the Bold Wise Words Scholarship. Being awarded this scholarship is allowing me to continue further along my path of success. I have grown up as the daughter of a single mother who has to put not only myself but my two sisters through college. Due to only one parent funding my college, I have encountered financial difficulties in my education. I began my associates degree in Early Childhood Education in the fall of 2020 and my academic GPA is remaining at a 4.0. Once I graduate from HACC, I plan to transfer to a four-year university to obtain my bachelor’s degree. I will be continuing my educational path as an online student, allowing more money to go towards college tuition and course materials. Choosing the career path of Early Childhood Education was an easy choice. Volunteering for my high school’s sixth grade camp opened my eyes up to the world of teaching, mentoring, and being a role model. I find that I feel happy and peaceful when I can give back to my community and put a smile on someone’s face. Donating food to my local food pantry, volunteering my time to Girls Inc., and providing a lending hand in the creation of a community garden has impacted me in a positive way. By volunteering, I found my passion of wanting to teach and inspire future students. I want to greet my students by the classroom door every morning and put a smile on their faces. I will be the teacher that will encourage creative thinking, create a safe space, and help expand their knowledge. This scholarship is going to allow this dream to become a reality. Continuing along my college pathway would not be possible without this generous scholarship. Thank you for supporting my journey through college and my future of teaching. Sincerely, Hannah B.

I appreciate bold.org for the opportunity to receive this scholarship and it is such an honor to be awarded a scholarship that recognizes women’s leadership. I will be using this to fund my education at Northwest-Shoals Community College for my associates in Pre-Pharmacy this fall. As a low-income student bold.org has made scholarships more widely accessible to me! Thank you so very much for helping my dreams come true!

I have been burdened by student loan debt since 1997. This scholarship has played a key part in my ability to continue with doctoral studies at this time in my life without adding to that debt. I am extremely grateful to Bold.org and to those who made this opportunity possible. Thank you!

Honestly, I haven't won a scholarship before and this is my first time getting one. Like I'm really excited, I hope I win other scholarships and if I win another scholarship I would literally like to dance in front of a camera and say thank you for choosing me. I was really disappointed in bold.org when I applied to over 200 scholarships and didn't get announced as the winner for any of them, but then I told myself to be patient and that paid off well.

This was the first scholarship that I had won. It gave me encouragement that my time spent filling these out was not a waste. I had filled out over a hundred before receiving this one. I was determined, but oddly enough. The encouraging others scholarship ended up encouraging me! Thank you so much. I have my ducks in a row now, and am about to start my first season of college soccer and my first actual semester of college while not in high school!

Debt right out of the gate ~ every undergraduate student's nightmare. Although it remains an issue, help from generous organizations has helped to reduce the amount of debt I will carry. Thank you, Bold.org! Your scholarship has alleviated a portion of the stress and financial burden I have been facing while trying to pay for college. Your generosity enabled me to afford my Fall textbooks and some honors college expenses. Words cannot express how truly grateful I am for the honor and the award. One day, I hope to pay it forward through my service and commitment as a nurse and as a volunteer in the autism community. Thank you!

    Annabella Powell

When I was applying to colleges, I didn't think twice about applying to UCLA because I had always dreamed about going there and making my family proud. When I got accepted, my family immediately told me that they would find a way to make it work and that I was going there. Despite being ecstatic about being accepted into my dream school, I was also stressed about the financial aspect of attending. I was applying to scholarships even before I started applying to colleges, but I had no luck until this scholarship. At one of the most stressful points in my life, receiving the news about being the recipient of this scholarship had me in tears, tears of pure happiness and relief. I was completely taken by surprise when I found out that I won and completely speechless! I am beyond grateful to have won this scholarship which could not have come at a better time than it did. This goes to show that no matter how many doors are shut, you just have to keep looking for new ones to open. Thank you once again! Sincerely, Annabella Powell

Winning this scholarship means a lot to me! I still can’t believe I WON! I was worried that my essays would be skipped over due to so many people applying, but to WIN and have my essay shared? This is absolutely amazing! I want to thank the judges for believing in me enough to help me along my journey! This is the first scholarship that I’ve actually won (excluding a random selection, hat drawn scholarship at a car dealership years ago). This will help me so much in obtaining a degree in dental hygiene. I am incredibly grateful for this opportunity! Thank you so much!

Being selected as a finalist for any scholarship is extremely humbling and I am very grateful for being considered. Though my family is not low-income, we do have a large family. I am the only girl of 6 kids my parents have. My parents have tried to save college funds for each of us, but it has been difficult saving for all six of us. I am blessed to have some monetary help from them, but it does not cover nearly all the cost. By the end of this semester, I will have used the funds they saved for me. I will now have to take out more loans to complete college. Although this is not what I want to do, I will do it because I know a college degree will grant me a successful future. I appreciate your consideration and thank you for giving the gift of an education to someone!

Having shared a story about one of my best friends, it means so much to me to have been a finalist for my submission. This award was so unexpected and I am very grateful for my recognition. The experience I shared is very important to me, so knowing that someone else viewed this unfortunate incident as an advancement, however small, regarding equality, impacted me emotionally. It is comforting to know there is support out there for LGBTQ+ people, BIPOC people, individuals who are disabled, and additional underrepresented or protected groups. Thank you again for making me a finalist.

Dear Bold, Becoming a scholarship finalist means that I am one step closer to pursuing higher education without financial burden. Paying for college has been extremely difficult; over the summer I had a full time job in a factory, and 2 part time jobs babysitting and taking out the trash at a concert venue. Thank you for appreciating my past efforts, acknowledging the hardships I have faced, and taking my story into consideration. It is such an honor to be a finalist for a scholarship, my first time! Thanks to you, I become closer to achieving my dreams of becoming a scientist. Once again, thank you. I hope to write to you again soon.
